Knee Pain Treatment Chiropractor in Tracy, CA

Chiropractic Care for Knee Pain

Knee pain and injuries can make performing even the most mundane daily tasks like getting out of bed, walking downstairs and bending over seem impossible. While each patient is different there are a few common causes of knee pain that we see most often in our office, including:

  • Arthritis
  • Old Injuries
  • Sports or Auto Accident Injuries
  • Obesity
  • Bursitis

In order to provide you with a treatment plan that is tailored to fit your specific health and lifestyle needs, we must first complete a chiropractic examination. During your initial consultation, we will complete a comprehensive chiropractic exam and work get a clear idea of your health history, your current condition and any previous treatments. From there, additional testing, including X-rays may be necessary. Once we have a clear diagnosis, we will then recommend a treatment plan.

Does Chiropractic Care Work for Knee Pain?

Through the use of both instrument-based and manual chiropractic adjustments, our Tracy chiropractor can relieve your knee pain by targeting the root cause of your injury. Instead of simply treating your symptoms with prescription drugs, chiropractic adjustments can provide almost instant pain relief while reducing inflammation and promoting faster healing. In addition to regular chiropractic manipulations, we may also recommend other complementary treatment methods like massage therapy, nutritional counseling and corrective exercise.

At-Home Corrective Exercises for Knee Pain

Knee Stretch #1

Begin in this stretch in a seated position, place both feet firmly on the ground about shoulder-width apart. Next, push your foot forward to extend one leg all the way out and bring it back to start. Repeat the stretch 25 times on each leg, for a total of 3 sets.

Knee Stretch #2

Using the same chair, begin this stretch in a standing position. Face the chair placing one heel on top of the chair, keeping the opposite leg planted firmly on the ground. Next, place both hands on the extended leg and run your hands down the leg as far as you can without bending your knee. Hold for 15 seconds and switch to the opposite leg.
